Studio Butterfly workflows

ButterflyFleet Studio features

ButterflyFleet Studio brings practical show tooling directly into Blender: import SKYC files, restore editable project state, insert mid-show transitions, manage advanced lights, expand timelines, and export through ButterflyFleet planning workflows.

Core workflows

SKYC import

Import .skyc into Blender

Import compiled shows back into Blender, recover drones, cues, stationary formations, storyboard entries, LED keyframes, and optional motion contracts.

Mid-show edits

Insert a transition into the middle of a project

Use an imported full-motion show as the base, add a new formation in the waiting interval, recalculate only the incoming and outgoing legs, then export a hybrid SKYC.

LED workflow

Advanced light effects

Use preset-driven effects such as reveal, hide, blink, random blink, and color-ramp output, then sample and export the resulting light program.

Timeline tools

Expand timeline

Move a selected storyboard transition earlier or later while shifting related keyframes, LED effects, presets, timeline markers, and cached transition data together.

Large formations

Large fleet management

Use the ButterflyFleet backend or the available local standalone backend for high-drone-count assignment and transition calculation beyond typical desktop-only workflows.
